inevitability
i stay up till 3am to listen to thunder until it unbecomes the weight of your footsteps. / the cherry blossom petals are drifting / ghosting open streets & i’m only alive when the sun asks with a bloodied tilt of mouth. / it’s only spring until i beg it to not be. | strike me into fulgurite / transmuted & reaching. / tell me it’s alright if i come out irreparable so long as i come out / & i’m saying saying please but only the spring can hear me / & i just don’t want to be afraid anymore but my face is in your hands / dark & shining & rain-stained.
